Why Mabel & Møøse was started?
Mabel & Møøse has been my dream for a long time. It was born out of my passion for natural, minimalist style baby photos. When my daughter announced she was pregnant I started looking around for a newborn photographer. I realised that no one was offering the simple style of baby photography that I love. I‘m also really inspired by Scandinavian Minimalism and I wanted the photographs to reflect this.
What is Mabel & Møøse?
Mabel & Møøse is small studio for new parents who want beautiful, minimalist style photographs that show every detail of their baby and complement their modern home. The studio is a comfortable, calming environment. A peaceful space, where you can watch your baby’s first portraits being created.
At Mabel and Møøse there’s an adorable selection of little outfits to choose from.
I’m guessing that you love not having to search and shop for suitable outfits for your little one to wear at their photoshoot. You don’t need to bring anything. Everything is provided for your baby and little siblings (up to 4-years). I have a passion for fresh, simple, organic baby clothes, and I’m constantly adding to the selection of outfits for your little one to wear.
What does Mabel & Møøse stands for?
Mabel & Møøse is also all about ethos and a way of living. I work with small independent local businesses and my products are ethically sourced. Looking after our wonderful planet is very important and so Mabel & Møøse is always looking for ways to do this. Like planting new trees! Mabel & Møøse is signed up to plant new trees on behalf of my tiny clients.
What is Scandinavian Style Minimalist Newborn Photography? (Scandi-Style)
It’s a design style that is based around purity and calm. The ethos is about buying better and buying less. A wall portrait should be the perfect photograph for you and your home.

So this is me. The lady behind the Mabel & Møøse and the lady behind the camera. I’m a Scottish photographer, based in Monifieth, near Dundee, who just loves to create photos of babies. I love simplicity and good design and I ADORE babies! If you are thinking that I have a DREAM job, then you’d be 110% right. You’re just the kind of person who I’d love to welcome to my studio.
The business is named after my studio mascot. (I fell in love and HAD to have him!) He’s a big soft furry rocking moose and his little pull-a-long pal is Mabel.
